Several years ago, for a couple of years in a row, we hosted a Christmas concert at Munger. Whatever you’re picturing is wrong. “Holly Jolly Christmas” was not sung. No 7th graders played clarinets. No one wore choir robes.
The concert is the brainchild of Andrew Peterson, an independent musician from Nashville. He and some of his musician buddies travel around the country throughout the Christmas season and perform this incredible show where they, in a couple of hours, explain the whole Bible and how incredible Christ’s birth truly was.
Though you won’t get the full effect, here are the songs (Labor of Love is my favorite). They tell a story that never gets old. Behold, the Lamb of God. Merry Christmas!
