Illustration of Stickman Kids Heads Singing Do Re Mi, with Music Notes

If you caught Andrew’s sermon this past week, you’ll know he serenaded us with the Boys State anthem. There are several takeaways to be garnered from that, but one conclusion is that we remember words to put music – like the ABCs!

My goal is for your kids(and my kids!) to have God’s word written on their heart(Psalm 119:11)! That when temptation comes or they are in a season of doubt, they will know exactly what God has to say about it! But, sitting around memorizing scripture doesn’t exactly seem thrilling!

Do you know where I am going with this? We can teach our kids the Bible in song! It doesn’t have to be perfect and they don’t have to start by knowing the verse verbatim, but we can start by playing songs that sing scripture!

If you have a VBS CD from previous years, you’ve probably seen this firsthand! If you want to access VBS songs, you can find all them all on Spotify. God bless modern technology! The main reason I am writing this is to tell you about one of my favorite resources called Seeds Family Worship. I have linked it here but we listen on Spotify!

I hope this helps your family incorporate a little more Jesus into your carpools and Chick-fil-A trips(or is that just me?).
