Every once in a while I like to throw out some of my vast knowledge of pop culture. Ok, that’s not true, though I did find myself enjoying a Lizzo song on the way to work this morning (admittedly, I have no idea who “Lizzo” is). I do, however, like to let you know when I’ve heard a good song and especially when I’ve found one I think is good for kids, parents, or families.
Here are a couple of my current favs:
Family by Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors – you may have heard this on a commercial or two recently, but I think it’s such fun. We dance to it in our kitchen and I’ve even heard my 2.5 year old singing parts of it on her own. We’re claiming it as our family anthem.
Be Kind to Yourself by Andrew Peterson – you may recognize this guy if you’ve been around Munger for a while. We hosted his Christmas concert, “Behold the Lamb of God” a couple of times. I think this song is especially good for adolescent girls, but I’m playing it for my little girls preemptively.
Ring the Bells by Johnnyswim featuring Drew Holcomb (sorry to be redundant) – I think this an awesome anthem type song. I’ve even told Kate she has to play this the first week we’re all back together. We need this kind of hope and resolve!
I hope you enjoy!
