Has your view of God changed over the years? Not to sound judgey, but I hope so.
Maybe he started, in your mind, like a magnanimous grandfather, then became Santa Claus-esque, then maybe a hard-nosed cop. Based on what we want and don’t want, do and don’t like, our views change.
But, hopefully, as we gain in wisdom and grow in our faith, our view of God should became a fuller picture of the goodness and sacrificial love of God our Father.
This is a song I’ve loved for a while now. I sing my baby to sleep with it. I think it offers a powerful and interesting view of God, and I hope you enjoy it.
Oh, and just to make sure I’m clear, our view of God changes. God does not change.
