Who is the most impressive, exciting person you’ve ever been around? I shook hands with Matthew McConnaughey once. That’s the best I can offer. But this week we’ll read about The Transfiguration, a time when a few disciples get to hangout with Jesus, Moses and Elijah as they pow-wow. Can you imagine? Incredible.

May 27: Mark 8:1-26

  • Jesus met with Moses and Elijah who had been dead for many years.
  • God repeats what he said about Jesus at his baptism.

  • We don’t know what Jesus talked about with Moses and Elijah. If you had to guess what they talked about, what do you think it was? (If it helps to look up who Moses and Elijah were, go ahead and do that.)

May 30: Mark 9:14-29

  • The disciples were not able to drive out the young boy’s impure spirit.
  • Jesus said this boy’s spirit could only be driven out by prayer.
